Just back in from beautiful but cold Michigan! It was a great time seeing so many friends and training quite a bit. On the day of the seminar I knew this would be a good one. I have put extensive time, effort and training into concealed weapon draws and the first part of the seminar covered this. We covered concealed draws while wearing a coat, sweatshirt or t-shirt. Some of the draws were the lapel slide, pistol clear, crossbody pull, etc. I showed all of the participants a wide range of concealed holsters. These ranged from in the pocket holster, fanny pack, in the pants holsters, level 2 and level 3 holsters, a wide range of leather holsters and the serpa concealed holster. All of our concealed drawing was performed utilizing a Glock training semi auto and a Serpa concealment holster. After that portion of the seminar we moved onto Firearm defense versus a semi-automatic from pointing to the gut and to the head. We then moved into self-defense versus a knife with a special emphasis on looking at what happens when the knife ends up in between your arm and body. (a very scary thought) The fourth portion was self-defense versus grabs, headlocks and the standing guillotine. The final section of the seminar dealt with grappling with a wide assortment of technique but a special focus on the one-legged butterfly sweep and how to counter it! Enjoy the pictures!
There is also a very short video on my facebook page courtesy of Mike Hammer:

Look for more video footage soon as I get to editing over six hours of video that was taken during the seminar!
It was one of the best seminars I’ve ever had the pleasure of training at! Was great to see you again, and can’t wait to get back out to Vegas for some serious training!
