Real World Violence!

Real world violence can happen at anyplace, anytime and anywhere.  So whether you are at home, going to work, at school, in a hospital, etc. simply anywhere there is a potential for violence.  Should you be paranoid?  No way but you should train and be prepared if necessary.

Recently another horror story occured at a University in Chicago.  Specifically at Northern Illinois University.  To everyone involved my heart goes out to you and I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that other people do care about you.  Once again we mourn for your loss.

Sometimes there is very little sence in this world and this is just another example of that.

Violence happens due to mankind’s inate nature!  With this in mind what can you do to protect yourself and your loved ones?  Well you can train and hopefuly get them to train as well.  Raise your mental, physical and spiritual awareness of what is happening around you.  You can also stay current on news and take prudent measures to protect yourself.   Having deadbolts on your doors, alarm system, dogs in the house, tools that will help you protect yourself, etc. are all a good step.  Having everyone in your family having use of a cell phone is just one small step.  Now understand that it is very, very hard to know who will commit violence.  Profiling can help but does not necessarily always work.  The following link goes to MSNBC and talks about the 10 Myths about School Shootings.

This is also a link to a video about this traumatic incident!

One thing that is very important is to know that violence is sometimes random, hard to predict and irratic.  So control the variables that you can.  Like your training, your families training, house protection issues, internet security, etc.  Take as many precautions as you prudently can and be prepared if necessary.  Be prudent and pragmatic!

Violence Can Happen Anywhere But You Can Be Prepared!
