Okay recently a program came up on the Discovery channel that is showcasing martial arts. This show titled: FightQuest is pretty entertaining to watch. The hosts Jimmy Smith and Doug Anderson are not only entertaining to listen to but they really get after it. Tough guy’s who are interested in seeing what is out there and also portraying what martial system they are training with in a positive manner. I enjoyed the first season and they did so well that they are currently shooting Bokator a cambodian martial art and several others.
They visited a bunch of countries and trained in the following arts: Wushu, Sanda, Kali/Arnis, Kyokushin Karate, Boxing, Pencak Silat, Savate, Hapkido, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Krav Maga, Kajukenbo!
I particularly enjoyed several of the shows but being a Filipino Martial Arts enthusiast I must say that I enjoyed the Kali/Arnis episode the best.
Kali was represented by Pekiti Tirsia and Tuhon Leo T. Gaje a true pioneer and leader in the Philippine martial arts. Pekiti Tirisia is currently the art practiced and trained by Filipino Marines and Special Police Force. Arnis was represented by Modern Arnis and Christino Vasquez. Modern Arnis is the system founded by one of the Filipino all time greats Remy Amador Presas. You can see him in how Mr. Vasquez moves. (beautiful)

I would urge everyone to buy the Discovery DVD of FightQuest when it becomes available.
