Well yesterday we had our cane seminar here in Alma and well it was a blast.  The weather threatened rain all morning but when we hit the park it was absolutely beautiful.  I covered some small amount of how and where the cane has been used around the world from Europe to Africa, Japan, Philippines, North and South America, India, Korea, etc.  We delved into striking with the straight and hooked cane from different positions and transitioning to different strikes.  Eventually we made our way into some joint manipulation with the cane and that is where the bodies started going to the ground and being locked up. 🙂  We also looked into using the hooked cane in many painful ways. (thanks Jose for bearing with it)    To top it off we finally had some full contact stick fighting with the three foot cane.  Everyone wore WEKAF gear and went at it with large 1 1/23 three foot canes.  It is always a blast when you can go full contact!  Definitely a rush.

I am sorry I did not take pictures or video footage of this seminar as it really turned out great.  Anyways next time I will.
