Traditionally or should I say typically there is only one test in Budo Taijutsu of the Bujinkan.  This test comes at the Godan level or 5th Dan.  The Budo Taijutsu practitioner kneels or sits in front of Hatsumi Sensei and relaxes while Sensei summons killer intent.  Then Sensei will swing a fukuro shinai at the practitioners head and if they move out of the way they pass if not they are hit and they fail.  Really this is a pretty simple test.  The trouble of course is relaxing in front of Hatsumi Sensei.  That is very, very difficult.  Now a days other Shihan’s are giving the test under Hatsumi Sensei’s guidance.  Some people posted some Godan tests up on youtube take a look and enjoy.
