…..Yesterday I was at a local zoo that had just installed zip lines and also what they call the skywalk. Now I have no fear of heights. In the past this came in very handy in several jobs that I have worked. My son though is still young and has a healthy respect and a little fear. However, yesterday we did the sky walk together and enjoyed it immensely. I particularly liked the single plank bridges where I could work balancing skills and breathing. This type of training is the kind you find just by happenstance and it is very good. It is similar to going for a hike in the mountains and the dynamics involved with the hike is a rigorous form of training that can only improve your body. Training that is hidden is something that is enjoyable and keeps you young. If you have children you know exactly what I mean and if you do not but have neices sometimes just play a game of tag with them and you will get some unique hidden forms of training.

Brian,
Quick question for you. What Zoo is this at? Haven;t heard anything about it, but my kids would love (so would I)
Hey Scott,
This is the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. Definitely a really nice one with lots of fun. 🙂
Thanks! Took the kids over there the 24th and they had a BLAST! We picked up the family membership so we are going to be headed down that direction a lot more this Summer. Thanks for the heads up!
Hey Scott,
Glad you had a good time. I and my son enjoyed it immensely!
