…..Have you ever been doing something where you started into a movement and were trying to force it when it was not working? What should you have done? Well sometimes when we are doing things if the adrenaline really gets flowing then we fixate or create a form of tunnel vision where we attempt to do the one thing that comes to mind. Even if that one movement is not going to work. The important thing to remember is to relax in the martial sciences and if you are relaxed then you simply have more options available to you and your adrenaline will not run you. Instead you can use your adrenaline for your advantage and be in control if you can remain relaxed. This relaxation and ability to be cool and calm allows you to be Instinctive and enter the Instinctive Response and in turn you will then have the ability to flow. Flowing from technique to technique as they are needed is definitely a huge advantage in the moment. Instead of being locked in and unable to change if you are in the Instinctive Response and flowing then you will change as the situation changes. All forms of martial sciences and martial sports try to get their practitioners and athletes to relax and move with the flow and change in the moment. In the end this is something critical to your skill development!
