The Consequence Of Failure!

…..In the moment, which we shall define as a moment of extreme violence where someone is trying to take you life.  What is the consequence of failure?  Most of the time when I ask this question of someone they say well I would die.  While that is true, it is often just a small part of the consequence of failure in a moment of extreme violence.  Take for instance if I die what would happen?  How many lives would be changed irreparably.  In general no one is totally alone and in most people’s circumstances we have a number of people that totally rely on us every day for their own survival and needs.  Significant others, children, parents, friends, etc. the list goes on.  When I initially started training it was certainly all about improving and succeeding for myself.  Now that I am a little older while I still train for myself I also am training for my family and friends.  Whether I am protecting them or myself I have high stakes involved.  So the consequence of failure in a moment of violence is indeed very high for me.  Therefore I try to live every moment as they are all special and train extremely hard.  Some day that training may help me to avoid the consequence failure in the moment.

See You On The Mats!

    Fantastic point!

It’s easy to buy into the macho idea that it’s live or die… but vitally important to know WHY you NEED to live! That will to survive is often the difference in living or dying.
