John Bednarski is a long time student and practitioner of the martial sciences.  He has trained with Dan Inosanto, Ron Balicki, Ernesto Presas, Remy Amador Presas, Herman Suwunda and since 2001 he has been a direct student under Grand Tuhon Jersen “Nene” Tortal.  John is an instructor in the Dekiti Tirsia Siradas system and teaches at the Midway Kodenkan in Chicago, Illinois.  The Tortal family system of Dekiti Tirsia Siradas has really hit the scene in America as the Grand Tuhon has tirelessly taught throughout the United States over the last several months or so.  John has been a major part of that holding Dekiti Trisia Siradas camps in Chicago and also by being the Grand Tuhon’s training partner during various seminars throughout the United States.  John also promoted two major Filipino Martial Arts tournaments called the Pacific Island Tournaments while the Grand Tuhon has been in the United States.  We are very fortunate that John is also coming to Alma for the Grand Tuhon’s final seminar in America and rumor has it that at “The Gathering” on Saturday John will possibly also present and show us some of his technique.
