…..Over my martial training I have met a lot of people. One thing that I have found consistently with the people who were really good was that they were passionate about their martial science. This type of passion is necessary if you want to be good. You really need to be excited to train, teach and learn as a martial practitioner. You can also tell who the passionate martial practitioner’s are by how much they train outside of class on their own. That is when the really great growth happens. Those martial practitioner’s that learn in a class or private lesson and then go out and reinforce that training on their own are inevitably the ones that shine. They also seem to be the ones that continue on quite often and can over come the pitfalls that can affect anyone who trains in the martial sciences. Having passion for the martial sciences is essential and an element that hopefully you have!
