…..Having trained with a number of master’s from the far east I have come to appreciate their story telling. It is almost another art form in itself and some of the instructors, guru’s, gurukkal’s, Sensei, etc. that I have worked out with have been very exceptional at story telling. Now, make no words about it a good story is usually exaggerated for the benefit of the audience. This exaggeration usually makes the story more interesting whether it creates a funny atmosphere, serious, emotional, etc. I have personally witnessed at least one or two people get upset with this style of story telling and the exaggerations that happen. My friends this is a cultural thing and really it is some thing easy to over look. If it is a real true story you can sift and find the truth pretty easy if you just listen. Some of these stories have history of the arts laden through out them and that indeed makes them interesting. So if you get a chance to listen to one of the older master’s telling a story enjoy it and see what you can get from it. Who knows you may very well be in for a great surprise!
