…..Make sure that you learn from someone qualified. This is really important. The other day I had someone stop in who wanted to do some private training. He had spent several years learning from a friend. Unfortunately the friend was not qualified to teach and had missed some major details. This left him open and in jeopardy to counters that a good practitioner would simply pick him apart. Now do to the fact of practicing movement in an incomplete manner he is stuck with having his body to relearn correct movement. This is not the first time I have witnessed this. A few years back an instructor and his student came to train with us. After watching them move it was clear that they were majorly damaged by instruction from someone who had shall we say not completed their training or learned poorly. It was so bad that there was no way for me to help them. So make sure when you are practicing and training that you learn from someone who knows what they are doing! This is essential. Then in the end your movement will not be damaged! There are many instructors out there to help you just be careful!
