If I am not mistaken, you are a Taijutsu practitioner yourself, aren’t you?

  2. Walt says:

I wish I could find a nice open space like that to practice in… Getting cold.

  3. Brian VanCise says:

    Hey Walt,

Yes I practice Budo Taijutsu as well!

  4. Brian VanCise says:

Sorry to hear that it is getting cold! We can also feel it around here too!

    Hey Brian,

Nice clip – great staff work. I like your elbow shot a lot. Back in my youth we trained Muay Thai from Chai Sirasute and we called that one a “down elbow” and kept the rear (check hand) with the palm open.

Kind of ended up with the top hand crossing the bottom as you torque the elbow through the opponent.

Either way is cool – I dig that elbow shot as well as the “up elbow” like a tight uppercut. Traditionalists don’t train for those acute but powerful angles. Excellent!

Gald you like it Chuck and thanks for stopping by!
