Grappling With The Knife

Grappling With Weapons Seminar Photo With Noise(Large)

While this appears to be a training video I would always caution anyone grappling in a full on personal protection situation to understand that a weapon could be introduced at any time.  If you are going for an armbar on the street you do not go with the intention to submit your opponent but instead to damage their arm immediately so that they can no longer use it to hurt you.  Meaning, simply you execute the break if the situation warrants it.  A knife attack initiated in a grappling situation is incredibly dangerous as your mobility may already be compromised.  Train and understand that this is so and work the blade into your grappling skill sets so that you at least have a chance.
