If you are a martial practitioner with the goal of having effective personal protection skill sets and you are not exercising you may have a problem! One of the core components of personal protection skills is being physically fit to effectively utilize them. If you do not have cardio both aerobic and anaerobic and strength then you may be compromising your ability to defend yourself and your loved ones. Get on the mats and train, go for a run and add some wind sprints in, lift kettle bells and weights, hike, bike, swim, kayak, etc. Get in shape if you are serious about your personal protection skills!!!
