Ahhhhh take a deep breath and feel the crisp cool air! Yes, you are alive and living in the real world and breathing that cool crisp northern air. In all seriousness getting outside and experiencing severe weather is a must. Whether it is snow, rain, sleet, icy rain, thunderstorm, high winds, heat, extreme heat, etc. you need to experience it in case you have to protect yourself or your loved ones in it. Definately it will open up your eyes to what you can and cannot do depending on the weather. 🙂
Last night we went out during a snow storm and did some training on tactical deployment of either a tactical flashlight or a folding knife to be used as an impact tool. Why just an impact tool? Ever tried to open a folding knife when outside wearing winter gloves and your gloves are wet? Not so easy, so in a quick moment all you may be able to do is to get it out and use it as an impact tool. Which my friends is pretty darn effective!
Enjoy the picture’s and maybe next time you can join us and experience living on the edge!

Oh and did I mention that we used snow in the eyes, face as an environmental tool! Oh yes we did! 🙂

It was a great time, we gotta do it again before all the snow melts!
Absolutely Mike! We will definately have to do it again this year. Maybe next time we will get really lucky and train out in an ice storm. 🙂
