Okay I cannot say it enough. Train in your base art but check out what else in the way of the Martial Science’s is out there. When I say this it does not mean to leave what you are currently training but instead to become more familiar with what other people do. Also you need to see the similarities and differances between how people practice to know if what your are doing needs to be tweaked or not.
Now a new student should be open minded, pragmatic in knowing what they want to acheive and yes ready to dedicate themselves to achieving their goals. When learning pay attention to what you are doing and learn to the absolute best of your ability. While training though in your primary system also check out some seminar’s to see what else is out there. I regularly bring in world class martial artists so that my students can learn new skill sets, appreciate diversity and also to help me on my own personal journey. Life is short so explore!
IRT is a Worldly Martial Science where the Practitioner should feel free to Explore!
