Throughout your life you will need to Find The Right Path in order to live and be happy. It is no different than when you are in a violent encounter! In a moment of violence you need to find a way to extricate yourself from it and find the right path away from the violence. This could be running away, (always a good option), evading an aggressor, engaging and then escaping, controlling or more. The point is that you need to find what works in the moment based upon that unique situation and in Instinctive Response Training we call this Finding The Right Path!
This skill set of Finding The Right Path opens up more and more with proper training. Literally the more you train the easier it will be to find this path away or through a confrontation. In a personal protection situation there are many things to think through but even before this there is overall awareness. Being aware of your surroundings will help you to Find The Right Path. Awareness helps in avoiding dangerous situations. Together these two are more important than probably any physical skills you will ever learn so make sure that you practice your awareness and avoidance skills daily! If action is necessary and you have been unable to avoid a life threatening situation then your training will be brought to the front and your life or your families life may be hanging on the edge of a precipice. In a violent situation like this you will need to Find The Right Path that will bring you through it in one piece. Each and every situation will be different so you will need to consistently train and throw out new variables and learn from them. If you train well then hopefully in the moment you will Find The Right Path through it and survive! That is all we can ask for!
See You On The Mats!
