Doug Wilson’s Ireland Seminar DVD In 2008!

Okay I am always on the look out for new training DVDs and books.  Due to this fact and that I have some good friends, I receive email updates on good training DVDs and books regularly.  Well after receiving an email update I went surfing the other day and I found one that looks like a winner in terms of quality and the scope of training.   Doug Wilson is a Budo Taijutsu practitioner that lives and trains in Japan.  He is also one of the translators for Hatsumi Sensei whether at the Hombu or the Budokan. Doug was also featured in the Human Weapon TV show on discovery channel.  Following is some action:

Recently he went to Ireland and taught a seminar for Alex Meehan’s Dojo.  During the course of the seminar they shot some video and turned it into an excellent DVD by all accounts.

Here is Doug’s blog also at wordpress there is also a nice video clip of the DVD footage:

From those clips, Doug’s movement is incredible. It’s so smooth and natural that it looked like things were just happening to people, and he was standing nearby…

That’s something I envy and have noted in many great masters!

  3. Brian VanCise says:

    Hey Mike,

    Glad you enjoyed it!

Doug is definitely very, very smooth. That is always a treat to watch.
