…..I met Paul once at the New Jersey Tai Kai when he came and sat with out table and talked to me, my wife and kid’s, Bart Uguccioni and his wife and Mike Asuncion. Paul has been training in Japan for a long, long time and is now the longest tenured foreigner training with Hatsumi Sensei and the Japanese Shihan. Living and training in Japan can be a difficult life style and Paul works as a street artist juggling and from all accounts is successful at it. Hi Paul, I don’t know if you remember but my dad (David Phillips)used to be a friend of yours at USF. I also do karate. I am 15 and I just received my orange belt on Feb 8/09.
