…..Okay so you have been training for awhile now. Things are progressing nicely and your skill sets are developing. I think it is important that every now and then you stop for a moment and look at where you have been and where you are now. Stop see the progress and recognize it before you push on. Some times it is very difficult to realize how inept we were but it is important to remember. Why? Well of course to keep the drive to improve alive! Look back to when you began and then again to a year or so later. You should see significant improvement. Now if you have been practicing longer look back to the beginning but then also look back to just a while ago. Did you improve, have you been working hard enough at it! Stopping and smelling the roses is important to what we do. Personally I set goals and write them out. Then when I do take the time to look back I have concrete evidence of what I was supposed to be working on and also this lets me know if I have of course worked towards those goals. I think every practitioner needs to look back and of course look to the future as well!
See You On The Mats!
