Stick Disarms!

Website Angled Elbow Wild

…..Disarming some ones stick is a skill set that is still relevant in today’s world.  There is a chance that you may come up against some one with a stick, tire iron, baseball bat, etc.  Having the skill sets to specifically disarm a blunt trauma instrument could be essential.  Even though I focus more on bladed weaponry this skill set is still very, very important.  Following is a video clip by Burton Richardson showing one way of disarming a stick.  Enjoy!

…..To see a really modified rotational variant of this disarm look at the following video clip where I am sparring only in a fencing mask.  The disarm happens at roughly at 29 seconds.  It is so quick you can hardly see it with the body movement going on.  Now the disarm done above and the disarm that I do are different enough and yet you can see how effective in having the ability to disarm is.
