…..So last night I watched and coached two practitioner’s to a new level in IRT!  It was a long night filled with skill set demonstration’s, teaching and of course some grappling, full contact empty hand and stick sparring.  Each practitioner performed very well over the two hours and forty five minutes of the test.  So they both should be very proud in their achievement! Achieving skill in the Martial Sciences is some thing that takes time and of course dedication.  It just does not happen over night.  Constant work and training and growth need to occur.  One has to constantly analyze their weak points and then work on those weaknesses so that they diminish.  Since we do not hand out advancement in IRT very quickly or without the person having the skill set needed for their advancement usually people who are not serious weed themselves out in that first year or two.  That leaves the dedicated ones to continue on and achieve their goals.  Dedication is essential as it is some times easy to just stop training or post pone training.  Long term dedication takes work and also a responsibility to yourself that you want these skill sets.  Those that are dedicated and willing to take the time will achieve in the Martial Sciences.

See You On The Mats!
