Ken teaching Brazilian Jiujitsu in Alma, Michigan!
…..My good friend Ken Blackburn is simply one of the greatest athletes I have ever met. Take into consideration that I have trained with all kinds of phenomenal competitive martial practitioner’s, collegiate and professional athletes and even had the opportunity to train/teach an Olympic athlete or two. So I have met some really phenomenally gifted people. Ken currently is one of the worlds greatest kettle bell instructors and he resides right here in the great State of Michigan. I started training with Ken when he was around 12 or 13 and we trained and advanced together for many years in the martial sciences. Tae Kwon Do, Arnis, Kickboxing, etc. When I was doing Brazilian Jiujitsu I mentioned to Ken that he should get involved as well and next thing you know he was one of the best in our state and probably anywhere for that matter. Following is a video clip of Ken in action:
Those flying triangles were really, really fast and remember Ken is a very strong, big man at around 250 lbs. Couple that with middle weight speed and his opponents were at an extreme disadvantage!
Ken got heavily into kettle bells and has made his mark by joining with Steve Cotter and teaching around the world. If you are interested in kettle bells than you can really find no better people to work out with!
Here is a clip of Ken setting an American kettle bell record:
Also another clip from the same competition:
Ken is now teaching kettle bell technique full-time around the world so if you get a chance to train with him then do so! You will not regret it!
