A Friend Of Mine…..

website-angled-elbow

…..A friend of mine recently almost died after having surgery and a resulting staph infection from the surgery.  Fortunately he is okay and on the mend.  Still it was close and brought the point home to him regarding his mortality.  Quite often we take things for granted.  It could be our family, friends, training, etc.  This is some thing to guard against.  Why?  Well understand that in a moment everything can change.  One moment you may be healthy, wealthy and wise and the next ill and unable to train or take care of your family.  You may be training in the greatest martial environment and with a fantastic teacher and next week that environment may be gone and the teacher had to move or you had to for work or family reasons.  Life is short folks and each moment is precious! Do not take your family for granted, your training or anything else for that matter.  Instead, enjoy each moment and try to get the most out of it!  I relish the training opportunities that I have had in my life and hope to have many, many more.  I enjoy teaching other practitioner’s and seeing them grow and hope that it continues to be this way.  I attempt to live life to the fullest and in the moment so that I have no regrets!  My friend who is on the mend is fortunate that in a couple of months he will be back to normal and able to resume training/teaching and a return to a normal life with his wife.  He is fortunate as it could have easily been lights out.  He plans on living life and enjoying the moment and not having any regrets! So should you!

See You On The Mats!
