
…..Ever watch someone in the Martial Sciences who is good at what they do? Really it does not matter the style or movement they employ but rather that they are good. If you have then you probably observed that they were relaxed and efficient with their bodies movement. This is an essential skill set that I try to convey to every martial practitioner that I train with. Move effectively, efficiently and be relaxed in doing so. Usually when someone starts out learning some thing they are tense and this applies even to someone who has been around for awhile when they learn some thing new. However, once the technique, etc. has been practiced a few time they should begin to relax and also work to make the movements smaller. The smaller the movements coupled with relaxation the better their efficiency will be in the end. That my friends is what we are all striving for. Efficient movement that allows us to survive in a moment of violence!
