…..Only two people have ever reached the Instructor level in Instinctive Response Training! I am pleased to say that Gary Haffey is now a full Instructor in IRT. Gary has been training going on eight years in this martial science and has tremendous skill and depth in his knowledge. Most of all he has strong basics and a very analytical and creative mind! The Instructor level in IRT is roughly and equivalent level to a master level in most martial systems. In Instinctive Response Training there is no time in grade to get to a certain level. Either you have it or you do not! Meaning you cannot get advanced by just showing up. No you must have the skill set to go on and be at the next level. I have had people waiting for five, six, seven, even eight years to become an Associate Instructor. However, until their skill sets match that level then it simply will not happen! That is how we ensure quality control in IRT! To this date it has been very effective! The IRT North is in good hands with Gary and I think that they will flourish and that Gary will also flourish in this new venture!
