…..Well we had a great class last night and we topped it off with back to back to back to back to back and so on guard passing drill. The idea of this drill was of course for everyone to work on their guard pass and of course the opposite guard control and sweeping. However, lying behind the drill was the idea of tiring out two specific practitioners so that at the end they would submission grapple with each other and be so tired that technique would be more important than strength. I must say they both rolled effectively with quite a few submission attempts and multiple sweep and reversals. Tired as they were they kept going and tried to relax and conserve energy and then make something happen at the right moment. Always a good time and yes also very, very tiring!
