When training I think it is very important that you take care to protect yourself when necessary. In other words you need to have the requisite breakfalls, rolls and relaxation of muscles to ensure that you do not get damaged. Another factor to the caring aspect of the Martial Sciences is that you need to also care and protect your training partners! I cannot tell you how many times I have been training with someone and they have put themselves in a dangerous position where I had to move in a manner to protect them. This occurs pretty regularly when you are teaching new people. You see you simply cannot execute a technique in training and damage your partners and expect to have anyone wanting to train with you. So you need to go out of your way to take care of them and ensure that they will be able to train again! Caring in the Martial Sciences is an essential thing that you need to develop. It also of course parley’s right into life. If you in general care about other people generally they will in turn care about you! In the Martial Sciences we meet a lot of people and if you care about this then you may just have lots and lots of friends! What is better than that! So next time you are training care!
