Timing!

In the Martial Sciences timing is one of those things that is simply essential!  Good timing in movement can be the difference between evading a strike or takedown or actually doing the striking and succeeding.  Good timing is not some thing that is difficult to achieve.  In your every day martial practice you should always be working in ways that will help you improve your timing.  A simply drill when a partner punches at you and you evade can work your timing.  Start slow and then build up to real speed.  Then walla utilize the training in full contact sparring.  Slow, Medium, Fast and then with resistance will help you work your skills and improve your ability to time things correctly!  Timing is one of those things that separate good martial practitioners from average to great!  Work your timing and along with it your distancing and angles will be worked too!  When they all come together you will be on the right path!
