I have met a lot of people throughout my years of Martial Science training. One of the best I have met is Professor Dan Anderson. He is a world-class martial practitioner and a good friend! Dan has trained for a long time and has through the years made a lot of DVD’s and Book’s. Just the other day I had the opportunity to review one of his most recent works: Advanced Martial Arts: The Art of Body Management. What makes a great martial practitioner? Why, great body management of course. The breaking down of how the body works utilizing distancing, timing and movement. In this book Dan explains the physics and movement of throws, sweeps, takedowns, locks, trapping hands, countering, finger locks, chokes utilizing the cane, etc., etc. Your also shown how to do them in clear easy to understand photographs. In other words there is a lot of meat to this book and best of all Dan Anderson has always been one of the finest at explaining things whether in person or by media such as DVD’s and book’s. This is a really good book in my opinion. One that should be in everyone’s martial library!
Professor Dan Anderson’s site is here: Dan Anderson Martial Arts Media

Another book that I personally recommend to everyone is Dan Anderson’s Espada y Daga book. Best written work on the subject in my opinion.
Thanks Brian, I may just have to add this to my library
Hey Tim,
It is a really good book! Dan has a lot of books one “espada y daga” that we in IRT had a part in as he shot some of it in Alma, Michigan.
