Protester threatening another with a knife!
This is sad. The family of Freddie Gray asked for peaceful protests but local hoodlums, punks, etc. decided to riot. While it was happening I noticed a specific photo that caught my eye. One where a Caucasian male was involved with an Africa-American male who was holding a knife. That photo is above. The photo beg’s the question are you ready to deal with this? Does your training adequately address weapon based skill sets that may allow you to go home after a violent encounter. I have long been at the forefront of weapon/tool integration in your martial training. If you are training for personal protection you need solid weapon/tool skills. You need to be able to function with firearms, blunt instruments, edged weapons, flexible, everyday items., etc. Violence happens in this world. Most of the time you will easily be able to avoid it by leaving or utilizing good verbal skills. However, if it does go bad are you prepared? Does your training prepare you adequately? Sadly most programs do not realistically prepare their practitioner’s to deal with real world violence! So double-check what you are doing. See if it addresses weapon and tool based violence and if it doesn’t then seek out someone who can help you address those areas! You owe it to yourself and even more importantly your loved ones!

I could not agree more, Sir, and I can’t thank you enough for the time and dedication you have given to me to ensure I can learn these skills – correctly! Time for people to get real about what is / has been going on in their communities. The powder-kegs are being lit.
