Kali: Was It The First Name Used For FMA?

This get’s bandied about all the time. Kali, Arnis, Escrima, etc. What should the Filipino Martial Arts be called? Personally, I am fine with all of them. To many islands, to many dialects, to many different names through time. Call them whatever you want. The following article seems to point that Kali was an earlier name than Arnis. Take it with a grain of salt and from my perspective I don’t really care.
