Brian R. VanCise after a timed run…

So you are in a violent encounter and walla… your out of breath.  Ever watch a title fight in any combat sport?  What happens when someone is tired?  They usually get beat on.  If you run out of breath in a violent encounter you will simply be at the mercy of your attacker.  You may have trained and have good skills but you won’t be able to use them.  Cardio is king if you don’t have it you will want it when you really need it.  So when designing your training program keep in mind that if you do not have cardio at the top of your list then you are potentially putting yourself in a position to be unable to defend yourself or your loved ones in a violent encounter!  You need to have aerobic (with air) and anaerobic (without air) cardio training in your program.  I have always lived my life trying to be the best athlete that I can be and to not falter when others are unable to continue due to lack of cardio.  I do not want to be the one with no breath in a moment of violence…

See You On The Mats!!!
