Riding the Edge of training. What does that mean? Well, sometimes you have to take your training right to the edge of injury. If you wish to be at an elite level you need to push yourself and yes that means right to the edge of potential injury. Now that does not mean getting injured. Just that in order to be your best you must push yourself and during that process it can sometimes be dangerous! I personally go out of my way to try and keep myself and my students safe. We do resistance training but we are careful. We don’t spar all the time but we do spar and roll. Injuries can happen but we try to train as realistically as possible without getting injured. We ride the edge regularly but attempt to do so in as safe a manner as possible! Safety is always first in training. Skill set development is mandatory. Training and Riding the Edge is essential. Without it you will never be your best!
