Jacob VanCise 1999 – 2022

Our beloved son, Jacob Charles VanCise passed away July 14th. We are heartbroken for his loss, but know he is at peace, entered into the love that passes all understanding and comforted by those that passed before him. Jacob was born in 1999 to Brian and Simi VanCise in Royal Oak Michigan. He was welcomed with great joy by his parents, his grandparents Charles and Julie, and Abraham and Susan, by his older brother Nicholas and by all his family. He graduated from Northwest Technical Academy, a magnet high school, then attended college at UNLV and UNR. He would have graduated this year and was on the Dean’s List at UNR. He was working as an intern at Eide Bailly and had been offered a full-time accounting position on his graduation. Jacob was a huge fan of many sports and had enormous knowledge. He was eternally hopeful for the Detroit Lions and Pistons and had lots of laughs at the expense of the hapless New York Knicks. He loved MMA and boxing and there seemed no end to his expertise. Jacob is survived by his parents, grandparents, and his brother, as well as his aunts and uncles Tim and Dana, and Jim and Michelle, and his cousins Giles, Audrey, and Dagney, as well as many family members across the country and the world. We have had an outpouring of love and support from our many family and friends, who are holding us in their hearts. Jacob will be greatly missed and remembered forever. There will be a private gathering of family and friends to remember Jacob’s life and to mourn his loss from our lives. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory to a charity that helps others.
