Everyone who wants to be effective in a moment of violence should have some level of basic fitness. Physical fitness is one key to being ready for a physical attack against yourself or one of your loved ones. If you have to respond to being attacked or step in and protect one of your loved ones, you probably will need some basic level of fitness. If you are defending your life, it would be a bad time to find out that you are physically unable to do so. I recommend always being in some level of physical readiness. I’m not saying you always have to be in your peak physical shape but instead that you are physically fit. You could look at basic entry requirements for law enforcement, the military, firefighters, etc. to get a basic idea of a minor set of standards. Sure, not everyone will be able to do it, but at the very least, try and be physically fit! You may just need this if you ever have to defend yourself or your loved ones! Try to work in push-ups, sit-ups, planks, running, walking, swimming, weight resistance, and more. Maintain a basic level of fitness, and you will be ready, and your overall health and wellness will be better as well!
