I see it time and time again. Someone teaching knife defense or Personal Protection like there is only one way to survive or defend. Understand also, that this is someone who probably has never experienced real vioence. Real world vioence is messy, unpredictable, chaotic and what is most important is the ability to adapt in the moment. There simply are no absolutes in Personal Protection, no guarantees, no do this, abcd and your good. One day something might work and the next day against someone different it might get you killed. This is important to remember. Train consistently, be open to innovation and adaptability in the moment and back up all of your training with solid tactics.
No one instructor has all the answers! Nothing works all the time…
