…..One thing I have always believed in is going to the source of the martial sciences that you are exploring. When I was deeply involved in Tae Kwon Do I went to some Choi Hong Hi seminar’s. When I was training early on in Modern Arnis I experienced training with Grand Master Remy Presas and continued to train with him when I could through out his life. Almost during that same period I traveled around the midwest training where I could with Dan Inosanto at various seminar’s. I found a Brazilian Jiujitsu school that brought in the likes of Royce and Rolker Gracie, Caique and more of course and I sought out further BJJ training with Machados and had the opportunity to meet Helio Gracie as well. In also studying Budo Taijutsu I went to Tai Kai’s here in the US and traveled to Japan to train with Hatsumi Sensei and train with all of the various Japanese Shihan. There have of course been a lot more people that I have spent time and trained with and I have brought in people to my training hall. Great martial practitioner’s and teacher’s like Dekiti Tirsia Siradas Grand Tuhon Jersen “Nene” Tortal, Maharlika Kuntaw Practitioner Brian “Buzz” Smith and the bad one himself Bob Orlando of Kuntao/Silat fame. I believe in going to the source of training and seeking out the best and either going to where they are at or bringing them to Alma, Michigan for a world class seminar and training experience. If you have the desire to train in a certain system then by all means Go To The Source! Find a way to train with them by traveling to where they are at or bring them to you! You will not be disappointed!
See You On The Mats!
