Archery!

Back Hand

…..So just the other day I was out with my boy’s practicing some Archery.  Archery is some thing that should be practiced in conjunction with your martial training.  It is a skill set that while not as relevant as it once was it still teaches you breathing, relaxation and proper body alignment when shooting a projectile tool.  Plus if you want to you can still hunt with the bow and even today they are still used though rarely for violent encounter’s.

Here are some pictures of the day!

That would be great, definitely something I would want to do someday!

  4. I just got back into archery this past year. I used to shoot with my step Dad and now I am dragging my son with me to the range. It is definitely a sport (at least I call it a sport) that teaches you to relax and focus. If you aren’t shooting well then you aren’t focused. After a stressful day at work archery also helps you to relax. It takes a few minutes of shooting before you settle in though.
