I think Mike Janich is a fantastic Instructor any Blade or empty had techniques he demonstrates are top notch. I hope to get to train with him in the future.GREAT VIDEO!
Hey Gary,
Glad you enjoyed the video and we both agree that he is
a very solid instructor! 🙂
Hey Brian, I really like your site,I found it by accident and am very glad I did. I am the guy with the knife stabbing & cutting the throat of the guy with the gun while grappling -We do a lot of “outside of the box training “where your partner does not cooperate and the techniques that may be pretty in theory may get ugly. I enjoy all reality based training and try to soak up all the knowlege that I can-Thanks for a great site to refer to for cutting edge techniques.
Hey Gary,
That is great and that was a very good video clip!
Outside of the box training is essential and you guy’s
obviously have something good going on!
Brian,
My instructor sent me your blog to show me some of this footage. The instruction is clear and easy to relate to. I have been training in Alambra Arnis for over two years. My Guro, is also trained in Sikoran and has also taught some knife fighting/defense and self-defense courses for law enforcement. MANY of the techniques he teaches us and that, in turn, we teach our more novice students are nearly EXACTLY what are demonstrated. The variations may be slightly different, but the principle of the techniques are identical. I want to applaud you for having a point of reference for those of us who do not follow “mainstream” martial arts, its really hard for smaller groups like ours to find relatively current information, plus its nice seeing other people interested in similar styles. Great footage, keep up the great work. I hope you are training hard, I look forward to seeing what’s next.
Glad you enjoyed the footage and I appreciate your comment! Thanks again! 🙂
