The following video clips are from the BBC series “Way of the Warrior”. These first four clips of a series on Youtube that show the Japanese Training Hall for the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu. This Ryu happens to be documented as the oldest tradition of martial arts still surviving in Japan!
To enter into this ryu you still have to sign a “blood oath” stating that you will protect the teachings and not study other martial systems! Yes, like all good martial practices they will not accept just anyone! So even if you wish to train with them you will need to be introduced and try to be accepted!
