Rejuvenation Weekend!

I just returned from San Diego where the weather is almost always perfect!  This weekend was a weekend to rejuvenate and relax and take a short break from all things martial.  So instead we boogie boarded in the ocean.  The ocean was cold but we made do with wet suits and a touch of grit!  We also spent a lot of time at the pool by the ocean just chilling and relaxing and reading. (definitely rejuvenating)  Then we went to the San Diego Zoo which is simply a world-class zoo with incredible wild life.  Now back at home I am ready to train like crazy after giving the body a much-needed break!

Yes San Diego where the weather is almost always perfect…EXCEPT WHEN I’M THERE. 🙂 They had the highest temperature on record for the day I was there in November 100 degrees.

I also went to the San Diego Zoo and I agree it is an incredible place and Sea World is not so bad either. Just don’t go on a day it is 100 degrees like I did. 😉

I should also say when I go on vacation I am usually very ready to go home by the end of the week. But San Diego was the first time I thought I would not mind staying a couple extra days.

Glad you had a good time

    Hey Tim and Mike thanks!

San Diego usually is around 84 degrees or so! That is a really nice temperature on the ocean. What is surprising though is how cold the ocean is. Even with wet suits it is cool! Yet, oh so fun! 😉

Our last couple of days there it was in the upper 70s and beautiful. But the first 3 were very hot, 2 days of upper 90s and one day of 100.

We stayed right on the ocean but I did not get the chance to get in the ocean much, only to wade, and it did not seem that cold. But all the surfers were in wetsuits so I am betting it was a bit colder than it felt to me on the shore.
