Walking, Hiking!

Walking and Hiking are great forms of exercise that you can literally do for your entire life!  Many of the great masters of the past have promoted and or encouraged their students to get out and walk, hike and be active.  While I know I take these things a little farther than most with mountain climbing, etc.  It is good to know and promote that just regular walking and hiking can really keep you fit and in shape and ready for even more strenuous workouts!  In the Martial Sciences we utilize our legs a lot because they are literally the foundation upon which all our skill sets work off.  Footwork, movement is crucial to personal protection skills whether in a civilian environment or in a military encounter.  The ability to move effectively is essential and you can keep your legs in shape with walking and hiking throughout your life.  Just the other day I had the family out on Mt. Charleston hiking to a waterfall.  Enjoy the pictures!

Oh and puppies sure do love snow!

So get out there and walk, hike and be active!
