If you only go around once! Meaning that you have one life to live. Then you had better live it to the fullest. Find what you like to do and do it! Do not procrastinate as their simply is no guarantee that you will have all the time you would like to pursue your desires! I live my life with the motto of “On The Edge”! I do not take uncalculated risks but I do like to live what I would call life to its fullest! I do not allow myself to be put in a box so to speak. Meaning I do not allow anyone to dictate how my life is. No, instead I intend to enjoy a multitude of experiences throughout my life. I make it essential to get out there and do things that I enjoy. You see I do not want to have regrets. If I think some thing could be fun to do by myself, with a friend or with my family then I try to get out there and experience it. Life is one great experience which is simply too short to not try things that you are interested in. How does this apply to the Martial Sciences you say? It applies greatly to what we do in Instinctive Response Training. You need to be adventurous in your Martial training. You need to have experiences and build upon them. You need to train “on the edge” so that you consistently improve whether you are a new practitioner, intermediate practitioner or a little further along the path! You need to jump at opportunities to get better. You had better not procrastinate too much or your training opportunity might pass you by. If you only go around once then get out there and do! There is nothing else! Simply do it!
