A Working Machete…….

WP_20130718_007

Okay I have a few machete’s.  I have some expensive ones and some cheap ones but I wanted one that had that distinctive southeast Asian feel.  Now I have some southeast Asian antiques that are absolutely great blades but not exactly what I want to take camping and well just beat the hell out of it.  So the other day I was at Sportsmans Warehouse here in Las Vegas and I noticed that they had a modern Golok on display and I just had to take a look.  Right when I picked it up from the heft and quality of the materials I knew I had found a great camp machete good for chores and more.  This modern adaptation of the Golok is made by Condor.  It has a full tang for durability and is sharp. (I even sharpened it a little bit more)   Here is Condor’s website with a look at their take on the Golok: Condor Tool and Knife  One thing is for sure this will be a great addition to have around the campsite!
