Social Website’s And Personal Security…

Close Up Angled Elbow Posterized

We live in an age of constant electronic bombardment of media and personal information.  So much so that it is very hard to keep your information private anymore.  Really, with all of the new sites that search public records keeping your birthday, address, etc. off the web is pretty impossible.  However, there are things we can do to protect ourselves.  One of the easiest and most efficient personal protection methods is that when you are traveling do not post information or photos of where you are until you get back.  If you post on facebook that you are in California and a bad guy or girl gained access to your account via a friend, etc. then they know your house is sitting empty.  So post after you get back and share your photos then.  Pretty simple advice but very effective!

Great post! Especially the part about waiting to post vacation pics until you get back home.
