Dealing With Threats…

When someone threatens you or your family what should you do?  Depending on how they do it will give you some ideas.  If it is in person and you know who they are then it is relatively easy to take it serious and notify the authorities.  Then if a restraining order is needed you can easily get one filed.  My advice beyond this is to take precaution’s like locking your doors, carrying a CCW, etc.  If they pursue it and take it further you may have to take action and seal the deal.  Be prepared and train!  That is why we practice!

If it is not in person such as over the phone, email, etc. once again you need to let the authorities know.  Run some traces so that you have the information of who the individual is so that proper remedies and precautions can be taken.  Through the right channels this is not that hard.

Having worked in various fields that dealt with the public I cannot tell you how many times I have been threatened.  I simply do not know the number.  I probably average a couple a day.  Some I took seriously, some were not worth any mental effort wasted.  However, I always make sure that I know who and what the threat is.  That is something that in this world of technology is very easy to get!  Stay informed, prepare and stay safe my friends!
