…..Well yesterday we had our first IRT Instructor Training Intensive Class. We had several Advanced Practitioner’s take up the challenge to learn how to teach using the IRT methodology. In such a broad system training not only takes time but learning how to teach takes time as well. Anyone that teaches knows it is an art form and quite a bit of detail goes into it. Yesterday everyone was challenged to learn, demonstrate and teach the material and of course be critiqued all along the way. So as you can imagine it was a really good learning experience for all. Following are some of the pictures in a random order!

Hey brother… why are the pictures Blue? Looks like a good time, though.
Seems like it was a good thing — so why is everyone so blue? 🙂
Looks like you all got some great training in!
Hey jks9199 and Walt,
Glad you liked the pictures! I like playing with colors so that is why I changed them a bit to that bluish look. 🙂
We did have some really good training and teaching. Each practitioner besides learning had to explain and demonstrate and be critiqued by their peers. I think the practitioners that came and trained learned quite a bit and more important may have gained some of that presence that an instructor needs.
Thanks for the comments!
I love workouts like that. Although I don’t belong to a commercial school anymore (by choice) I used to love this model of training the instructors. You get to see how they approach the people and material as well as everyone getting a new spin on stuff they already do. Do you also throw in problem scenario’s on how to deal with the difficult situation (good sucker punch used to work for me…)?
Keep training, we’ll keep reading,
Regards,
Walt
Hey Walt,
Absolutely I believe in scenario based training and having to work through adverse situations.
