So much of the country is in this extreme heat wave. In Vegas it is a typical summer afternoon and we will have temperature’s in the 100 degree range as usual. (for us not all that extra warm and I actually like it) When you find yourself in an extreme heat wave you need as a martial practitioner to be very, very smart with how you train. You need to drink plenty of fluids, pace yourself with your training and make sure that you have enough time in between workouts to cool down and rehydrate your body. This is essential! So whether you are practicing, running, biking, swimming, etc. make sure that your body can rehydrate! That way when you wish to practice again you will have the energy to get back after it!

Hello Brain
I have been welding on a bridge jog in Sagniaw MI this week and it is the hottest I can remember,
the first day we had one young guy go out with heat problems. I actually drank more G2 Gateraide
in one afternoon than I ever had.
I,m glad the heat let up this went on for 3 days . . .I was getting shocked from welding I was soaked.
We made it but I hope August isn’t as bad . . .This last week took a lot out of me.
Stay Cool
Charles
Hey Charles,
I have heard how bad Michigan has been. Hopefully you will get a break soon!
Hey Brian,
Went for a couple mile hike in the woods near were I live. Sweated like crazy, but had a big bottle of water in my backpack. Also found a nice open space and did some solo training. Nothing like finding a nice, secluded spot to workout in. See you in Alma in a few weeks.
P. Myers
See you then Patrick!!!
